I am the Engineering Manager and founder of Mowery Enterprises LLC. I graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. I was hired out of College by Siemens into their Sales Engineer Training Program in 1995. After completion of the training program, I was assigned to the commercial construction & OEM Local 3 builder markets in New York City under the tutelage of my mentor and great friend, Joe Meyer.
During my tenure at Siemens, I learned a great deal about the rich history of the NYC electrical market and the complex meanderings of the NYC code and processes. In 1997, I began compiling Electrical Advisory Board submission drawings. I left Siemens in 1999 to pursue opportunities at electrical distributors in the NYC area, including 4 years as General Manager of Benfield Power Systems in White Plains, NY (where we not only sold electrical packages but assembled engineered equipment in our ISO9001 shop).
I left electrical distribution in 2004 to start several businesses, including Mowery Enterprises LLC, where I now invest my time to assist engineers, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers in designing and driving NYC DOB approval of electrical services over 1000kVA and above 600V. EPR submissions are like crossword puzzles to me; I enjoy doing them and using my 25 years of experience in electrical engineering, project management, product application, and NYCEC code interpretation to drive my customers’ success.
